Our ‘Sussex’ variety of lavender is grown purely for its strong scented grains.  It is cut in July and hung in bunches on suspended racks to dry for a few weeks. When completely dry, we rub the lavender seeds off the stems and pour into cotton & organza bags.  These are then ready to use in your home.  They are particularly useful in cupboards and drawers to keep moths at bay.  A gentle squeeze every few weeks is recommended to release more oil from the grain. These bags will last for several years.
